I'm trying to understand the distinction between the 2004 Spirit and the 2004 ACE 750. The ACE seems bigger overall, with larger fenders and a bigger front tire, but i haven't seen this comparison discussed anywhere at all, most just compare the Spirit, Aero and ACE. Can anyone clarify?

It can be a little confusing because the Spirit and Aero are what replaced the ACE in 2004.
But you're right, the ACE definitely has a more classic, fat fender look, while the Spirit has a smaller front fender and a skinnier front tire, which gives it more of a modern bobber or chopper vibe.
That would be their biggest visual difference.
Then the ACE is chain drive while the 2004 Spirit and Aero are shaft drive, which is a major mechanical difference you'll want to think about for maintenance.
The ACE also has a dual carb setup versus the single carb on the 2004 Spirit, and some guys will tell you the ACE has a different crank pin for a deeper sound.
